Across the street from the shop a small truck is parked. It's been there for a long time. It would be easy to dismiss it as an irrelevant jalopy except for the two signs on the passenger side:We don't know where it came from or who it belongs to but it puts grins on our faces every time we see it.

Lugano, Switzerland

Just two days until the start of the Giro de Sardinia. The Giro de Sardinia is a 7 day stage race run as a grand fondo. There is a shorter and a longer distance race (the entire Assos crew is doing the longer one of course!) which includes an individual time trial, a team time trial a few rolling “sprinters” stages and at least one day for the climbers.Assos is pulling out the stops for this event and I am super grateful to have been invited and want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone at Assos CH and...

Pegoretti Love #3 custom front end

Here are a few shots of a Pegoretti Love #3 that we had some custom work done to. The guys and gals at Spectrum nailed the fork perfectly, from matching the off white of Dario’s frame to the artwork itself. This takes the aesthetic of this bike to the next level and there is going to be one very happy cyclist in Tennessee riding around on it this spring!   The complete frame set. You’d never know that Dario didn’t do the fork as well…   Color match on the individual colors was spot on with the frame… Dario Pegoretti...

The Twelve Days of Breathtaking Builds: Day Ten - The Disc Baum

Disc brakes and Australia’s legendary Baum Cycles aren’t things that typically go hand-in-hand. But, rest assured, when we team up with one of the world’s finest titanium builders on a disc-brake all-road bike, there are no corners cut. For the Tenth Day of the Twelve Days of Breathtaking Builds, a previously seen Baum, but one deserving of a spot all the same. This is the Turanti, Geelong’s take on a cyclocross bike. Built to the same standard as the world-beating Corretto, it’s possibly the finest ‘cross/gravel frameset known to man. Like the Corretto, it’s fully titanium, and like the Corretto,...

BOTW - Baum Corretto...details, details

For this weeks BOTW we have a gorgeous Baum Corretto in Satin Pearl White, Lava Grey, Hot Pink and Black Metallic. This was built for Jason C. and has already landed in Texas for it's maiden ride. A nice little touch was this artwork courtesy of Jason's children and forever displayed under the clear coat. Much cooler than pictures on the fridge we think… This is the GTR paint scheme from Baum that keeps the rear triangle in a natural titanium finish. We've built quite a large number of Baums over the past two years and I still can't get...

BOTW - Stock bikes done our way - Two one of a kind Dogma F8s

This edition of Bike of The Week is a double feature on two project bikes we've recently built up. When you think about stock bikes, what usually comes to mind are the OEM packages that bike manufacturers spec their bikes with so bike shops have ready made complete bikes to show and sell on their floors. Usually that means a mix of no name third party components and not even a complete build of the grouppo they claim to be built with. Usually quite boring and ready for upgrades out of the box. To us, "stock bike" should just mean...

Things We Love: Lezyne Floor Drive Alloy

I still have a Silca floor pump that I use regularly and, to be totally honest, the last time I got a new pump was at least a dozen years back (Pedro’s with a steel barrel and wooden handle). So when the Pedro’s was giving up the ghost for the fifth or sixth time, I had a look around. Saw that Lezyne (the brainchild of the guy that started TruVativ) had a line of awesome looking Floor Drive pumps. Four pumps in total, from the low-end Classic all the way up to the crisp looking CNC. For one reason or...

CUSTOM MOOTS COMPACT PART 3: COMPLETE BIKE

Well, this is the last of the posts we'll do on this MOOTS Compact, the bike has been picked up, which is great, but also a bummer as we loved looking at it every day, but it's in a better place now, hopefully tearing up the road somewhere in San Francisco or Marin...In Part 1, we covered the frame and the powder coating process we had done to it. Part 2 covered all the components we chose to hang on the frame and in Part 3 we'll show a few pictures of how it all turned out. Thanks for following...

Pandas and Laser Beams - The M.F.S. Argonaut

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've surely seen the this Manual for Speed/Argonaut collaboration dream bike plastered all over the internet. With the paint derived from dreams of panda bears and laser beams, there is no doubt this one of a kind concept bike will have you scratching your head and drooling, all at the same time. For the last month or so we've been lucky to have this bike in our shop to keep the rest of our Argonanuts company, but it will be making it's way back to it's owner sometime next week. Definitely make the...

BOTW - Blue on Blue Baum Beauty (say that 10 times fast)

This week we're going to highlight one of our favorite Baums to date. Okay, I know it's wrong to pick favorites and that we probably say that every time, so let's scratch that. This time around our bike of the week is yet another stunning Baum Corretto, wonderfully dressed in Campagnolo and with simple yet elegant blue paint. This one we built for a friend out in San Antonio, where it's currently being put through it's paces in the Texas heat. We had a lot of fun on this build. It was a case where our client knew he wanted...
