While we’ve been working with Mosaic Cycles for a relatively short time (I received my bike last Christmas) we’ve already started riding and selling a good variety of models from the Boulder, Colorado company. In addition to the road and travel frames we’ve had built so far, we just got in this sweet Mosaic XT-1 for Peter, our Tech guru.
We’ll get some more pictures and his feedback on this bike after he logs some more miles, but in the meantime enjoy these shots that we took before its first outing (in which Peter duly smashed a few KOM’s).
This bike will be used for cruising the fire roads and single track until Cross season starts, then it’ll be in full race mode.
44mm head tube and sweet polished logo.
Zipp aluminum bar and stem are stiff and strong and light enough.
SRAM Red group with WiFly rear mech and 11X32 cassette.
To help shed a little weight but keep the durability we used a Zipp carbon post and our favorite Fizik Antares saddle.
Wheels for now are Zipp 202 clincher. For racing, Peter will use Zipp 303 tubulars.
Disc brakes may be the newest trend, but it didn’t even cross our minds. If canti’s are good enough for the top Euro crossers to win everything in sight, they’d be good enough for us. These Avids work perfectly with ZERO stutter and zero complications.
Thanks for reading and if you want to find out more about this bike or get one for yourself, give us a shout and we’ll help you get started!
